ඒ පිලිබඳ පොඩි විස්තරයක් : Sri Lanka has experienced severe flooding and landslides following unprecedented rainfall due to Cyclone Ditwah. These disasters have caused significant loss of life, widespread displacement, and destruction of homes and infrastructure. Many communities are struggling to access necessities, and recovery will take time.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected, including colleagues and customers in the region.

How we’re responding

Based on our Disaster Response Plan, we are initiating a Level 3 response. This means:

A company-wide campaign to raise funds for relief efforts

Matched funding for employee donations to amplify impact

£5,000 grants from the Access Foundation for charities who have supported employees through this crisis

Our response partner

We’ll be fundraising for the Foundation of Goodness (our Sri Lanka Charity of the Year), who are mobilising flood relief through their 22 empowerment centres across the island. They’re deploying essential relief packs to Sri Lanka’s most badly impacted areas, especially in the mountainous central region where flooding and landslides have devastated communities.

Each pack, valued at Rs. 6,000 (around £15 / €18 / $20), includes items such as rice, flour, dhal, sugar, tea, soap, toothpaste, sanitary items, and other essentials. While the value remains the same, the contents may be adapted to meet the immediate needs of families returning from displacement camps to damaged homes.
